People and relationships are the foundation of any great bottle of wine. From the farmers and vineyard managers we work with to source the fruit for our wines, the people that help us ensure that fruit is grown with the utmost care and precision, the team that helps us craft our wines and always ensure we are overdelivering on quality, or the family that helps live and share the ethos of Correlation Wine Company. None of this would be possible without any one of them. Like our mission states: We are rooted in relationships, and driven by the commitment to make them stronger. I am honored to have a small, yet focused team of individuals that believe in this brand as much as I do. Together, our stories help define our “Correlations.”

Wesley Steffens

Founder

Wesley’s journey in the Napa Valley began in 2001 after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America. Spending nearly two years working for Thomas Keller at The French Laundry, Wesley focused on expanding upon his passion for food and wine. In 2002 Wes began as a harvest intern at Harlan Estate Winery where he gained a deep appreciation and understanding of the winemaking process. After four years as a member of the winemaking team at Harlan Estate and BOND Estates wineries, Wes’ journey then led him up Spring Mountain to take the reins at his family’s estate, Vineyard 7 & 8. In 2014, Wes and his wife Jess sought to launch a wine brand beyond their family estate boarders, building on the incredible relationships and experiences they’ve had here in the Napa Valley. With a foundation and mission rooted in relationships, and the many connections to a great bottle of wine, they founded Correlation Wine Company in 2017. Surrounded by a word-class team, including his winemaking partner Martha McClellan, Wes aims to craft new stories and provide a new guest experience though fine wine, great food, and awareness to the many incredible “correlations” that are possible.
