The wines from Correlation Wine Company are first and foremost reflections of our passion, our experience, and ultimately founded upon the relationships we’ve made since our family first arrived in the Napa Valley in 1999. We strive to craft wines with impeccable quality and approachability, showcasing new expressions outside of our Steffens Family estate on Spring Mountain. These “Correlations” are the backbone of our wines.

2019 Correlation Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2019 Correlation Wine Company Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerhouse from a spectacular vintage, yet, following on‑trend with past vintages, the wine is very approachable and enjoyable right from the start. The blend of the 2019 turned out to be more heavy on Cabernet Sauvignon, coming in at 92%, with the remaining varietals of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot making pretty equal proportions of the other 8%.

2020 Correlation Cabernet Sauvignon
Along the journey in winemaking—and life for that matter—we are faced with growing seasons in which the lessons learned along the way and the knowledge gained from prior vintages become ever so important in helping craft the story in the bottle. The 2020 growing season began by showing us just what kind of vintage it was planning to unfold. A mild winter, lower than average rainfall, and a cooler spring led us to prepare the vines for what looked to be a demanding, yet ultimately very successful growing season. Little did we know, until the day the fires arrived, that our harvest would be cut short, and as much as 70% of our fruit would remain on the vine.

2020 Correlation Rosé Wine
As a farmer, every now and again, we know there will be seasons that present challenges beyond our control, and test us to our core. The Glass Fire that ravaged so much of our beloved Spring Mountain, and Napa Valley, was a test none of us ever wanted to experience, but what we learned from it hopefully guides us to be even better prepared moving forward.
While most of our fruit here on the mountain, and around the valley, was still on the vines when the fires hit, we were lucky to have begun harvest from a couple small blocks the week prior, and were given the opportunity to craft a gorgeous 2020 Rosé.
Quality of product, and consistency in what we are able to deliver to our members is always top of mind, and while we wish we were able to craft more, we made the decision to only bottle the few barrels of Rosé made from fruit harvested prior to the fire.
This wine is unique from our past vintages as it is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Some might think that would lend itself to be even more bold and powerful, but in staying true to style, we crafted a wine that is bright, loaded with aromatics, has beautiful balance, all while being fresh and lighter in style. This wine hits every mark we would want and we’re proud to see it bear the Correlation Wine Co. name!

2022 Correlation Rosé Wine
It's not often that "delicate" and "100% Cabernet Sauvignon" are used to describe a Rosé—a wine made from pure Cabernet would typically be considered to bring power, richness and concentration. We've always enjoyed the challenge inherent in crafting a Rosé from mountain‐grown Bordeaux varietals, and here we have a wine that exudes delicacy, purity and freshness, standing with the very best Rosé wines. Since our first vintage, we've always had percentages of Merlot, Petit Verdot and even a bit of Cabernet Franc in the blend. The 2022 stands out as our first 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé, and it's undoubtedly one of our favorites to date.

2019 Correlation Stagecoach Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
We are so excited to have bottled the 2019 Correlation Wine Co Sauvignon Blanc this year honoring the vineyard from which we source this amazing fruit. Nestled atop the Atlas Peak Appellation, in Southeast Napa Valley, lies Stagecoach Vineyard. First developed back in the 1800s, and fully-planted in the early 1990s by Dr. Jan Krupp, the vineyard now owned by E. & J. Gallo Winery is now 1,300 acres of rocky volcanic terroir. However, there are only a few blocks of gorgeous Sauvignon Blanc planted within this magical vineyard, and so we’re honored to be one of the lucky vintners with the opportunity to craft Stagecoach Sauvignon Blanc.
Like our first vintages, the 2019 is from the Sauvignon Blanc Musqué clone; a clone known for its aromatic profile.
Aromatically this wine jumps from the glass with a freshness and vibrancy you’d hope for, showing notes of key lime, passion fruit, white pepper and honeysuckle. 2022 Correlation Sauvignon Blanc
Sometimes the best wines come from the smallest yields. Perhaps it’s the vineyard wanting to give its full attention and dedication to the fruit it grew, giving us as winemakers the best head start towards producing a stellar quality wine. Or maybe it’s the romantic thought we have when Mother Nature intervenes during the growing season, affecting the crop. Sadly, the late spring frost took with it about half the crop, leaving production well below average. But the quality of the fruit we did harvest was absolutely incredible.
