The wines from Correlation Wine Company are first and foremost reflections of our passion, our experience, and ultimately founded upon the relationships we’ve made since our family first arrived in the Napa Valley in 1999. We strive to craft wines with impeccable quality and approachability, showcasing new expressions outside of our Steffens Family estate on Spring Mountain. These “Correlations” are the backbone of our wines.

2016 Correlation Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2016 Correlation Wine Company Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, and 7% Merlot. The fruit is sourced from two estate vineyards farmed on top of Spring Mountain, as well as the Beckstoffer Melrose Vineyard in Rutherford, CA.

Similar in production to the 2015 vintage, with a higher percentage of Petit Verdot, this wine explodes from the glass. Dark ruby red color with notes of blackberry, blueberry, Chinese Five Spice, bittersweet cocoa, finished with crème de cassis. Full-bodied, starting with a seamless entry and well integrated mid-palate, the wine finishes and lingers for a very long time. This is a serious wine, and one that our winemaking team led by Martha McClellan and Wesley Steffens are very proud to present as our third vintage.
